Survey Says collects demographics to create interesting, group-based
prediction games. Our goal is to help players explore patterns in survey
responses, not to classify or judge individuals.
What We Collect
The Demographics page asks for a birth year, country, and education level.
These core answers help the application form useful comparison groups. Other
questions—such as living environment, and work experience are optional.
The demographic form does not request a name, email address, home address,
or other direct contact details.
How We Use Information
Submitted information is used to sort survey responses into broad groups.
It is intended to organize responses for games and comparisons.
Players may then be asked to predict or compare how people with a similar
background, habit, or preference responded to a question.
Results are to be presented as group-level patterns. The application is not
intended to create personal profiles or make decisions about individual users.
Your Choices
You can skip every question marked optional, including all sensitive questions.
Only submit information that you are comfortable using in this educational project.
Required fields are identified on the form and are limited to the information
needed for the basic survey-group features.
Current Classroom Version
This version temporarily keeps only the most recently submitted demographic
record in application memory. It does not currently save demographic responses
in a database, and the temporary record is cleared when the application stops
or restarts.
This is a learning prototype rather than a production service. Do not enter
confidential information or details that could identify you or another person.
Security and Future Improvements
The project is designed to collect only what its survey features need. If
persistent storage is added later, the application should also add appropriate
access controls, secure connections, retention limits, and ways for users to
review, correct, or remove their information.
Survey Says does not sell demographic information or display one participant’s
full demographic record to other players.
Updates to This Notice
This notice should be updated whenever the project changes what it collects,
how long information is kept, or who can access it.
